Risk Assessment

When choosing the correct PPE a risk assessment must be conducted.

Risk is defined as P x C where P is Probability of an accident occurring and C with Consequence of the accident. The probability of an accident occurring is comprised of a multitude of interdependent factors such as user behaviour, vehicle speed, traffic complexity, weather conditions, time spend by the user in a particular environment or any other site specific factors that can be assessed at site only. The exact product solution including design, materials, and colour combinations, should match the specific risks and requirements of the assessed situation in the professional setting, an employer is obliged to conduct a risk assessment at the work place and equip the worker with the necessary clothing and protection.

R = P x C
